Professional UX designer, hobbyist tinkerer, recovering journalist.

If we assume one is largely defined by their career, education and how they choose to spend their free time, then that would make me something of a Frankenstein's monster. I've proudly worn the "generalist" hat for the last 12 years and, if often at my detriment, I still believe that a broad perspective is more valuable than deep knowledge. Namely, answering "how" questions is just a matter of time and research, whereas the critical thinking required to answer the "why" is something of a rare commodity to which I have a not-so-humble claim.
